Two things you should know before you trust anything on this site: how it makes money, and how far a test result can actually be trusted.
Affiliate disclosure
Many links to detectors and humanizers on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, this site earns a commission. Your price is the same either way — the commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not your wallet.
That is the site’s main source of income, and pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to make it worthless. So:
- A commission never buys a verdict. Tools that fail a test get written up as tools that failed a test, including ones with generous programs.
- Rankings follow results, not payouts. If the highest-paying tool came third, it is listed third.
- Not everything is monetised. Plenty of tools covered here have no affiliate program at all, and the free browser tools earn nothing.
What a test result actually means
AI detectors are probabilistic classifiers. They return a likelihood, not a fact, and they are wrong in both directions — flagging human writing, and clearing generated text.
So every result published here comes with limits worth stating plainly:
- It is dated. Detectors and humanizers are retrained and updated without announcements. A result from three months ago may not reproduce today.
- It is a sample, not a study. Tests here use specific texts, on specific days, on specific settings. Your text is not that text.
- Institutional versions differ. The Turnitin your university runs is not the public demo, and scores from one do not transfer to the other.
- No tool is guaranteed to bypass anything. Any claim of a permanent bypass — here or anywhere — is marketing.
If you have been flagged: a percentage on a screen is not proof, and neither is a clean score from a tool on this site. What helps is evidence of your process — drafts, version history, notes, timestamps. That is a real defence. A screenshot from a third-party checker is not.
Academic integrity
This site covers humanizers because people use them and deserve to know what they actually do. That is not encouragement to submit generated work as your own.
If your school, journal, employer or client says the work must be yours, then it must be yours, and no tool reviewed here changes that. Presenting AI-generated writing as your own where you agreed not to is misconduct, and the consequences land on you, not on this site. Your institution’s rules override anything published here.
