The short version: this site collects as little as it can get away with, sells nothing, and the free tools that run in your browser keep your text on your device.
The long version follows, because “as little as possible” is not zero and you deserve the specifics.
Who is responsible
detectiondrama.com is operated by Vladimir Ivanov, an independent publisher. There is no company data-mining operation behind this — one person, one site. Questions about anything below go through the contact form.
What is collected, and why

Cookies
Three kinds turn up here:
- Functional — set by WordPress and the caching layer to serve pages correctly.
- Analytics — set by Google to count a visit once rather than five times.
- Affiliate — set by the merchant when you click an affiliate link, so a purchase is attributed to this site. That cookie belongs to the merchant, not to me, and is governed by their policy.
Your browser can block or clear all of them. The site still works without analytics and affiliate cookies; you would simply be an uncounted visitor, which is fine.
Affiliate links
Many outbound links to tools are affiliate links. Clicking one hands you off to that company, and from that point their privacy policy applies, not this one. The commercial side of it is spelled out on the disclaimer page.
Who your data is shared with
No one buys data from this site, because none is for sale. Data reaches third parties only because they run part of the machinery:
- Hostinger — hosting, so the database and server logs live on their infrastructure.
- Google — analytics and search performance data.
- beehiiv — the newsletter list, if you joined it.
- Google (Gmail) — contact form messages are delivered to a Gmail inbox.
Beyond that, disclosure happens only if the law requires it.
How long things are kept
- Contact messages: kept while a conversation is active or the topic is still relevant, then deleted. Ask and yours goes sooner.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, which every email links to.
- Analytics: retained under Google’s default retention settings, in aggregate.
Your rights
Wherever you are reading this from — and specifically if the GDPR or the CCPA applies to you — you can ask for a copy of what this site holds on you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request through the contact form from the email address in question and it gets handled. There is no charge and no hoop-jumping.
You can also opt out of analytics entirely with any standard browser blocker, and unsubscribe from the newsletter from any email it sends.
Children
This site is written for adults and older students, and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has submitted something through the contact form, say so and it will be deleted.
Security, honestly stated
The site runs over HTTPS, keeps its software updated, and limits who can reach the admin. No website can promise perfect security, and one that does is not being straight with you.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date below is updated. There is no version where a change is made quietly.
