Does Rephrasy bypass Turnitin? It guarantees 100% — and separately sells you an alternative Turnitin report, by the credit, because nobody can give you the real one.
The only tool that bypassed Pangram and Turnitin in 2026.
Most humanizers clear one detector and get caught by the other. StealthWriter is the one that gets past both — run Ghost 5.2 Pro at level 7–8, section by section, and re-check before you submit.
Try StealthWriter →Key Takeaways
- Rephrasy guarantees “100% pass rates on every major detector” — including inside its search-engine markup, where the claim is submitted to Google as structured data.
- Its Terms, which carry no date at all, say it “does not guarantee that humanized text will be undetectable by AI detectors.”
- It is the only tool in this cluster that has monetised the access problem: it sells an “Alternative Turnitin Report” at 300 words per credit.
- Section 10 of the same Terms says the quiet part: “We are not affiliated with Turnitin LLC.”
- The word “Alternative” is doing the legal work. There is no consumer route to a real Turnitin AI score — which is precisely why an alternative exists to sell.
- There are no Turnitin screenshots anywhere. The site’s entire image inventory is three use-case graphics and a university logo.
- The Terms have no academic-integrity clause of any kind, on a site headlined “The #1 AI Humanizer for Students… trusted by 125,000+ students.”

Try StealthWriter →Does Rephrasy bypass Turnitin?
No evidence supports it, and the vendor’s own contract declines to promise it. What makes this case unusual is not the contradiction — that is standard in this market — but what Rephrasy built once it understood the underlying problem.
Turnitin is named six times across its homepage: “bypass Turnitin, GPTZero, Copyleaks and Originality.ai before you submit your essay”, “Convert ChatGPT or Gemini drafts into polished, human-like academic writing that bypasses Turnitin”, and in the sitewide footer, “Bypass Turnitin, GPTZero & all AI detectors.”
This page reports no first-party test; everything below was fetched on 31 August 2026.
Guaranteed, and not guaranteed
The claim is stronger than most: “We guarantee 100% pass rates on every major detector”, appearing both in body copy and — notably — inside the page’s FAQPage structured data, the machine-readable markup submitted to search engines for rich results.
Section 7 of the Terms of Service says: “Rephrasy aims to humanize text effectively but does not guarantee that humanized text will be undetectable by AI detectors.”
Those Terms carry no “last updated” or effective date anywhere on the page. Neither does any other legal page; the privacy and refund URLs return 404s.
And there is no academic-integrity clause of any kind — no mention of cheating, students or educational institutions — on a site headlined “The #1 AI Humanizer for Students… trusted by 125,000+ students.” Most tools in this cluster carry such a clause even while marketing against it. Rephrasy does not.
The part nobody else does: it sells the alternative
Here is what separates this page from the others in the cluster.
Rephrasy runs a live product page titled “Alternative Turnitin Report – AI Detection Bypass”, headlined “Try Alternative Turnitin Checker for Students”, priced at 300 words per credit, with an escalation path for longer documents by email.
That is the quiet part said out loud. Rephrasy cannot give a student a Turnitin report. It knows it cannot. So it built a product around the gap and named it honestly — while the homepage above still guarantees a 100% Turnitin pass rate.
Why is there a gap to sell into?
| Who | Can see a Turnitin AI writing score? |
|---|---|
| Instructors at licensed institutions | Yes |
| Students, even at their own institution | No — the report is not visible to them |
| Anyone buying an individual licence | No such licence is sold |
| Draft Coach users | No — it has no AI detection |
| A humanizer vendor | No lawful route |
Turnitin’s help centre states it “does not sell individual licenses or single-use subscriptions”, and that “AI writing detection reports are not visible to students”. Draft Coach, the only student-facing Turnitin product, has no AI detection.
That is the entire commercial logic of the “alternative” report. Students want a number they cannot get. Somebody will sell them a different number instead.
What it does not do is answer the title question. An alternative checker tells you what Rephrasy’s own detector thinks of your text. It cannot tell you what Turnitin’s AI writing indicator would return, because Rephrasy has never seen one either.
The falsification test applies here too: Turnitin’s documentation says “no score or highlights are attributed for AI detection scores in the 1% to 19% range” — below 20% it shows an asterisk and no number. Any tool reporting you a precise 3% or 12% “Turnitin” figure is not showing you Turnitin.
Is there any proof on the site?
None. We enumerated every image asset. The homepage carries exactly four: three use-case graphics and a university logo. All load; none is a detector result.
There is no Turnitin screenshot, no before-and-after Turnitin score and no Turnitin report image anywhere on the site. Rephrasy asserts Turnitin bypass six times and publishes zero Turnitin evidence.
Nor does independent research help. Rephrasy is absent from Pangram’s DAMAGE paper, which audited 19 tools by name, and from the August 2025 benchmark‘s 20 scored tools — despite running a dedicated page about bypassing Pangram.
What can be checked on Turnitin’s side?
Very little. Turnitin shipped paraphrasing detection in July 2024 and dedicated bypasser detection in August 2025, and has published no accuracy figure for either in the year since. It has never published an overall accuracy percentage at all. On 4 August 2026 it merged the AI-paraphrased highlight into AI-generated, removing the last signal instructors had.
Independently, Hadra, Cambridge and Mesbah (February 2026, 192 texts) measured Turnitin at 0.61 overall accuracy and 0.51 recall, performing poorly on hybrid human-and-AI text. Weber-Wulff et al. (2023) put field-wide accuracy on machine-paraphrased text at 26%, with Turnitin the best of 14 tools tested.
What should you take from this?
Rephrasy has understood the structure of this market more clearly than its competitors and drawn the wrong conclusion from it. It knows a real Turnitin score is unobtainable — it says so in section 10 — and instead of dropping the claim, it kept the guarantee and started selling a substitute.
An alternative report is not a Turnitin report, a 100% guarantee in structured data is not evidence, and undated Terms that disclaim the outcome are the enforceable half of the pair.
Turnitin’s own guidance says its model “may misidentify human-written, AI-generated, and AI-paraphrased text, so it should not be used as the sole basis for adverse actions against a student”, and four universities have disabled it — Vanderbilt, Waterloo, Curtin and Washington State. The detector is unreliable in both directions, and a lifetime deal is explicitly non-refundable.
If your real worry is being wrongly flagged on your own writing, keep your drafting history — it costs nothing and it survives a detector being wrong. It matters most for the writers detectors treat worst: ESL writers and AI detection and false positives for neurodivergent students. Check before you submit with the best pre-submission check and the Turnitin self-check, and strip the obvious tells by hand first via what to remove before using an AI humanizer.

Frequently asked questions
Does Rephrasy bypass Turnitin?
No evidence supports it, and its own Terms decline to promise it. Rephrasy names Turnitin six times across its homepage and guarantees “100% pass rates on every major detector” — while section 7 of its undated Terms says it “does not guarantee that humanized text will be undetectable by AI detectors.”
What is the “Alternative Turnitin Report”?
A product Rephrasy sells at 300 words per credit, on a live page titled “Alternative Turnitin Report – AI Detection Bypass” and headlined “Try Alternative Turnitin Checker for Students.” It is not a Turnitin report. It is Rephrasy’s own detector, sold to students who want a Turnitin score and cannot get one — which makes it the only tool in this market that has openly monetised the access problem rather than pretending it does not exist.
Why does the word “Alternative” matter so much?
Because it is the difference between a product and a misrepresentation. Turnitin states it “does not sell individual licenses or single-use subscriptions”, and its AI writing report is instructor-facing and “not visible to students”. Rephrasy cannot supply a real Turnitin report, and section 10 of its Terms says so directly: “We are not affiliated with Turnitin LLC or any other third-party plagiarism detection company.”
So is the 100% claim substantiated?
No. It appears in body copy and in the site’s FAQPage structured data — the machine-readable markup submitted for search results — with no sample size, corpus, model, test date or screenshot behind it. The Terms then disclaim it. The site publishes no detector screenshots at all; its complete image inventory is three use-case graphics and a university logo.
Does Rephrasy restrict academic use?
No. Its Terms contain no mention of academic integrity, cheating, students or educational institutions — while the homepage is headlined “AI Humanizer for Students” and “The #1 AI Humanizer for Students… trusted by 125,000+ students.” Most competitors in this cluster do carry such a clause, even when they market against it.
How do I spot a fake Turnitin screenshot elsewhere?
Turnitin suppresses the number below 20%. Its documentation says no score is attributed between 1% and 19%, and the indicator shows an asterisk instead. So any image showing a specific Turnitin AI figure like 3% or 12% is not a genuine current report. Also check for a submission ID, which real reports carry and crops usually remove.
What does it cost, and can I get a refund?
Lifetime Access is $199, reduced from $300; Quick Pass is $12.99 for 24 hours; Growth is $99 a year, Business $120 and Professional $220. The free plan humanizes up to 100 words. Refunds are discretionary and the headline product is excluded outright: “We do not refund any lifetime deals!”
Is Rephrasy in any independent research?
No. It is absent from Pangram’s DAMAGE paper, which audited 19 tools by name, and from Pangram’s August 2025 benchmark of 20 scored tools — despite running its own dedicated page about bypassing Pangram.
